#1 Silver Spring Power Washers
Soft Washing, Roof Cleaning, Commercial & Residential Jobs
Silver Spring Power Washing has provided quality work and excellent customer service since inception. We pride ourselves on our customer satisfaction, professional service, and unbelievable prices. Pressure washing is our thing and we know how to remove dirt, stains, mold, mildew, graffiti, and tough stains like rust from your building.
Many customers also use our service as preventative maintenance. This keeps dirt and other contaminants from causing a problem that would cost you more down the road in repairs and replacements.
Many customers don’t know that there are different ways of washing that a professional pressure washing company can do. We don’t always just blast everything away at a high pressure. Doing this to gentle surfaces can cause a lot of damage. Surfaces like wood decks and siding, patio furniture, siding, and roofs won’t withstand the pressure from normal power or pressure washing. These surfaces require more of a gentle approach.
With soft washing, we use a pressure that is around the same psi that would come out of your ordinary garden hose. So what cleans the surface? We use an environmentally friendly detergent that does the heavy work and then we rinse it away with the power washing wand.
We use soft wash house washing because we really do care about your property and the job that we do. Some surfaces cannot withstand the pressure from traditional power and pressure washing so a more gentle approach needs to be taken. It’s challenging to hand scrub these surfaces and this method often isn’t very thorough. Also with higher areas such as the top of two story buildings is very hard to reach manually. Soft wash house washing allows us to do a better job and get in places that can be really hard to reach.
Brick exteriors are another surface that may not always be able to handle the high water pressure without damaging it. We don’t necessarily have to soft wash brick but a much lower psi is recommended along with a fan tip nozzle.
If there are holes and cracks in the brick or mortar we will let you know during our initial inspection. Cracks and holes need to be filled in before washing so that water doesn’t seep behind them and cause damage.
After the integrity of the brick and mortar is intact and there are no holes, we’ll pre-wet the surface before adding detergent. Then detergent is added from the bottom up in order to avoid streaking. Lastly, the wall is rinsed with detergent free water to remove all detergent residue. This is done from the top down.
A house wash wouldn’t be complete without window cleaning. We take pride in being able to leave your windows clean and streak free.
Many homeowners get used to seeing the world through dirty windows and really don’t notice when they need a good cleaning unless there is something solid on there that completely blocks the view. Don’t get used to dirty windows!
We clean windows the traditional way in order to avoid damage to the windows and surrounding structures. We use only the highest quality window cleaning products to make sure that we do the best cleaning job around.
Many people really don’t ask this question and when they do they expect the answer to be around once per year… if that! The truth is that it really depends.
Several factors influence how often your windows need external cleaning.
Weather Conditions: Depending on where your home is located, some windows get dirtier than others. Properties that are near the water or in industrial areas tend to get need cleaned more often than properties that are in the suburbs away from the extra dirt and debris that get stuck to them in busier areas.
Screens: Window screens, by definition, make windows look dirty. Screens hold onto dirt better than glass does.
Image: People who entertain more frequently may want to have clean windows more often than people won’t don’t entertain as much.
For the most part, a home can generally get away with a proper window cleaning twice per year. For people who want their windows to look great all year round would benefit from a professional washing two to four times per year.
Many people opt to have their inside windows cleaned once per year and the outside done 2-3 times per year. You can also save cost by having key windows cleaned more often without doing all of your windows each time.
Clean windows have a direct link to emotional health. Studies prove that sunlight provides vitamin D and improves mood. When your windows are dirty, they reduce the amount of natural sunlight that enters a home and causes a more depressing environment.
Gutters serve more of a purpose than sitting on the edges of your roof looking pretty. They catch rainwater that rolls down from your roof and rechannels it to a safe spot on the ground where moisture won’t cause a problem. Dirt and debris also run off of roofs and get caught in gutters. This restricts the water flow and can cause pooling around the edges of your roof. It can also cause water to spill over and start to damage the structures underneath.
Not only do you have to worry about pooling, the weight of wet leaves and twigs (and sometimes even bird’s nests!) can damage gutters and eventually cause them to have to be repaired or replaced.
This also depends on where you live and what is on your property. If you have pine trees, it’s generally recommended to clean your gutters twice per year. If you have pine trees, you’re better off cleaning your gutters quarterly since pine trees shed much more.
If gutters overflow, the water just wraps around the roof and fascia and intrudes into the house or erodes the foundation.
Wood decks can be one of the most gorgeous features of a home. Keeping it clean and restored is key to keeping it looking great year round.
We’re well versed in the nuances of wood decks and the care that needs to be taken in order to keep them looking their best. We don’t power or pressure wash wood decks. Just like with roofs and siding, we use a soft wash approach with an environmentally friendly detergent. This protects your wood and keeps it from splitting under high water pressure. It also keeps your stain and sealant in tact.
Because we don’t want to use high pressure water to clean wood decks, we need to use a powerful cleaning detergent that cuts through dirt and grime. The detergent does all of the heavy lifting and when it’s done, we rinse it away with plain water leaving a clean comparable to a brand new deck.
Concrete is a surface that can get very dirty over time. Driveways, walkways, sidewalks, and porches get a lot of wear and tear and need cleaned from time to time.
There are several reasons to keep your driveway clean:
Whatever your reasons for wanting to clean your driveway, it’s important! Especially the last reason. Cars and other vehicles are regularly parked in driveways. Vehicles leak oil, washer fluid, and all kinds of other contaminants that can seep into your driveway and cause damage over time.
Calling in a professional pressure washing company like Silver Spring Power Washing will keep your driveway not only looking new, but performing at it’s best!
Like with soft washing, we lay a cleaning detergent down on your driveway that cuts into oil and anything else laying around. We let the detergent work it’s magic for about 5 minutes before we pressure wash it.
When the detergent is done breaking down the driveway stains and tough grime, mildew, and other dirt, it’s ready to blast it all away.
